After downloading and installing cirrus_logic_audio_card_all_pi_versions.img on my RPi 2, I've had nearly a month's worth of trouble-free operation with the Cirrus audio card. However, after doing an apt-get update and upgrade today, the Cirrus audio card has ceased to function (the Broadcom card on the Pi works fine).
I flashed a fresh version of the .img file to a uSD card, ran raspi-config to expand the partition (df -h shows 11 GB available in /dev/root) and can see that sndrpiwsp shows up as Card 0 with the WM5102 as Device 0 in the normal manner. Then I did another apt-get update and upgrade, and the problem occurs again. I can see in the boot-up sequence that sndrpiwsp is not being loaded properly and is certainly not being associated with the i2s bus. The /boot/config.txt file appears to be unchanged after the upgrade and the card is not blacklisted. I repeated this process again with the same results. Has anyone else observed this problem?
