ChipKit Pi wont work.

I need help getting this device to work on any system. Windows, Linux, Rasberry Pi.. you choose, I just want the damn thing to work on something.

I am trying to use the ChipKit Pi with a raspberry pi2 currently, the error I get is this:
pic32-g++: error trying to exec 'cc1plus': execvp: No such file or directory

I have the board set as chipkit>ChipKit Pi

I have no options for the serial port.

the user is a member of dialout, and may run as root.

when i try to run the analog read example it tells me avrdude was compiled without usb support. ... which I mean who cares, Im not using the USB support, Im using the pin header, and avr-dude isnt even listed as a dependency so GTFO chipKit Pi.

The error indicates you might be missing some packages? Is gcc-avr installed? (librxtx-java should also be installed).

Regarding serial connection - MPIDE expects /dev/ttyS0, but it's actually /dev/ttyAMA0. You can create a hard link like so:
ln /dev/ttyAMA0 /dev/ttyS0

...you should then find an option in the serial out selection list :--)
