Raspberry Pi Compute IO Board - EAGLE files

eduardodemier

Hi.

I am looking for EAGLE files for the the Raspberry Pi.

The design is free available in ORCAD format. I imagine that getting the files for EAGLE should not be a problem.

I need to do a design that could be based on the original board taking some stuff off and adding other.

Thanks.

The RPi people only offer Orcad format files.

I don't know of any software that will convert a complete Orcad project to Eagle.

There are tools to convert the schematic.

Having said that, it's not  a very complicated board, you have the gerbers and a schematic - why not just re-design it in Eagle from there.

    MK

    Hi Eduardo,

There was a kickstarter for 'openpi' which isn't the Compute IO board that you refer to, but does use the compute module.

The kickstarter promised to be open source and supply free design files, which have not been available at the URL that they specify for many months:

While you might want to confirm it yourself - no guarantee that it works (also see here for a review), I've placed the files at this location (zip file)

since they were publicly available, and there has been no equally public statement to indicate that anything has changed. The zip file contains the EAGLE brd and sch files.

I've not used these files so I have no idea if they are useful or not. As Michael mentions, the usual (and correct) process is to design it yourself so you can verify it yourself,

especially for a commercial project (which is what the compute module was intended for).
