Former Member over 10 years ago

I recently bought the http://files1.element14.com/community/resources/statics/321251/7inTScontents.jpg?COM=RaspberryPiAccessories display produced by swag. the display pin connector has gone bad. I need to purchase a new one. Does anyone offer this item? My screen and other connectors are intact and work fine, any help with is greatly appreciated.

When you mean "gone bad" what do you mean (Do you have a photo?).

The connectors are available from places like Farnell etc but they are not really very easy to replace I would  really suggest that you get  a whole replacement unit, unless you can demonstrate this is definitely a warranty issue in which case it should go back to the provider.

Sorry the go  out and buy one reply is a pain but unless you can get it done under warranty it will certainly be the easiest.

I attached the photo. The screen appears to be fine it the display adapter that is broken. The pin connector for the blue and white ribbon cable is broken. Meaning the clamp is cracked. I dont need an entire new screen. Just the adapter board, the item with the red circle is what I need to replace. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

That board isnt available seperately to my knowledge,

If you are very good with a soldering iron or better still hot air tool you could do it the part will be available from Farnell.

Maybe someone can point out the part number for Chris??
