Cirrus audio card on raspberry pi 2 with ubuntu mate 15.10

hello,

I have installed ubuntu mate 15.10 on raspberry pi 2. I have also installed PJSUA application to do voip telephony. so I want to use cirrus audio card with it to communicate. I have changed in /boot/config.txt like these

dtparam=spi=on
dtparam=i2c_arm=on

Still it is not working , please tell me how to configure or enable the cirrus audio card for raspberry pi 2.

Hello,

as far as I know, you need areal time kernel to make this board working on the raspberry PI.

Can you please give example configuration what changes i need to do if i installed real time kernel in raspberry pi.
On ubuntu mate 15.10 cirrus audio card will work or not ?

I suppose yes if you verify before if Ubuntu mate has a realtime distribution and there are the driver supporting this particular hardware. To be honest, as the Raspberry PI is Debian distribution as well as Ubuntu (that has a lot of changes but the internal architecture remain the same) I suggest you at least as first experimento to start with something that we are reasunably sure that works.
Then Any experiment for improvements and better performances is welcome.
