I got my Pi 2 back in March or April and have been letting the grandkids use it since then. I got the Wi-Pi wi-fi dongle with it, and it's been working fine.
Yesterday I decided to try the newest version of Raspian, so I got out a new micro SD card and installed it. The Wi-Pi just doesn't connect. I've updated and upgraded (via the wired connection) until I'm blue in the face, and nothing works. Frankly, I liked the previous version of the wi-fi configuration because I could tell it was actually doing something. With this version I click the network icon, choose an SSID and put in the key, and nothing. The light on the Wi-Pi isn't coming on and it's just not working.
Anyone have any ideas?
