can i boost my laptop memory with raspberry pi2 module?

Hi,

I have a toshiba satellite L40 laptop with 512mb ram, intel pentium dual core processer, 75 GB hdd. I have assembled a raspberry pi 2 model B unit. Can i link it up to my laptop to boost memory and performance. i am a beginner . kindly adivise - suresh rajadorai, banglore, india.

Not in the way you're wanting to, no.

You could create a Beowulf Cluster, but typically this is done with hardware that is exactly the same so that resources are shared evenly. It also requires the software being run to be optimised for grid cluster operations and you'll find speed bottlenecks due to bandwidth somewhere.
