I am doing my best to configure the Pi Compute module with the Wolfson WM8753 sound chip over i2c. I have managed to get the device recognised with FDT and can see it on an i2cdetect. I have also configured the codec into the kernel and asked it to load snd-soc-wm8753 in /etc/modules but I cannot get ALSA to recognise that it can use it as a sound device. Has anyone had any experience with this and can help?
This is actually a commercial project so if someone knows how to do this, we'd be willing to stump up a few days consultancy fees.
