Try to download Rasbian fresh copy. Unzip/extract one file ending in img (image file). Use WinDiskImager for Windows to copy img file to the drive letter of SD card(usually a SD card reader/writer). Make sure to eject that drive cleanly. Remove sd card and insert into Raspberry Pi while off. After all cords are plugged in, add the power cord last. You should see a scrolling text.
