Is the componets for a rasberry pi 2 compatible with the rasberry pi 3?

I bought the rasberry pi 2 and a decent amount of acessories for it. Doespecially anyone know if I can use those on the new pi 3?

Hi Lauren,

Generally yes, they will work.

However, until someone tests them, there can be no 100% guarantee. But USB is a standard, and with popular devices the drivers should exist on the new Pi 3, so it is not unreasonable to assume that yes they will work.

Nothing is guaranteed with software, bugs may exist but usually for popular devices the bugs get resolved.

There may be a small exception of products (particularly 'raspberry pi hats') that won't have been tested yet, and they might not work immediately, until people have tweaked the code a bit.

Yes, but make darn sure the power supply is closer to 2.5 amps if you plan on running this beast fast and heavy. Clem
