Ah, an excellent question! Let's move this over into the Raspberry Pi section, and see what the guys in there can advise on.
Anyone had much experience with an EM3588, or have any advice on other temperature sensors that play well with the RPi?
Looking at the data sheet for the em3588 it will be relatively easy to interface to the PI https://www.silabs.com/Support%20Documents/TechnicalDocs/EM358x.pdf
"Flexible ADC, UART/SPI/TWI serial communications, and general purpose timers" so lots to choose from, also it can run on 3V3, same as the PI so no level shifters required.
