I was looking for a power switch or button for the Raspberry Pi 3. Does anyone have a recommendation on a good switch?

I'm using the Pololu SV Push Button Switch ( $7 ) on my Pi Robot.  One press on, One press off.  It is a single pole 10A (and can be ganged)

Configuration gets me current and voltage, and one button on/off:

    • EBL 5000mAh Ni-MH C Batteries: $25 15Dec2014
    • Raspberry Pi B+ 512MB
    • Pololu S18V20F5 5v 2A Step-Up/Step-Down voltage regulator
    • Pololu SV Pushbutton power switch
    • Fair Top 5A Current Sensor Module ACS712
    • Mikronauts.com Pi Droid Alpha interface card (MCP3008 Analog Digital Conversion)

Just published a battery life report on my blog:

Since the RaspPi is typically Powered by a small 5Vdc Power Brick, I just use a "Vampire Killer". A VK is just a short two wire AC Cord w/ an In-Line Cord Switch. At one end is a two-prong AC plug. other end is a two-prong AC Receptacle. Simple. I use these these wherever I have Pwr Brick that needs to powered ON/OFF. Saves Energy to Boot. Of course Purists may say I may introduce Transients by this approach, but that is speculative b/c IDK (I Don't Know) the RaspPi on-board Power Circuitry. I believe that that the actual RaspPi chips use 3.3Vdc. So like Hillary said in the US Congressional Hearings (on Benghazi, Libya) "... what does it Matter?"

    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1400964434/hackable-raspberry-pi-power-switch-with-remote-con

It's already successfully funded, and i had just purchased a set from their Store.

I think I saw a small push-button switch on this power board. Is this a "reset" switch?. AAR The Remote Control is a good (but costly) addition. Good if you are OEMing this board & RaspPi & Your own Designs into a viable product. But if one is/are in preliminary Stage(s), I feel that a simple Vampire-Killer Line-Cord works best. Just saw new traffic on this question and thought I would share what I usually do now for all my little USB projects:

    https://www.sabrent.com/product/HB-UMLS/4-port-usb-2-0-hub-power-switches-black/#description

$10 and 4 powered ports with lightup switch so you can easily tell when it is on or off.  :-)

There is a 3.0 USB option out now, it is $19.99.  Haven't tried that yet.

There's a fun little board that powers the Pi from an ATX desktop power supply.  You can find it at: https://www.tindie.com/products/tomtibbetts/piryte-mini-atx-psu-for-raspberry-pi/
