Connect a Raspberry 2/3 Board to the compute io board

I want to connect the CAN-Module Pican 2 (http://skpang.co.uk/catalog/pican2-canbus-board-for-raspberry-pi-23-p-1475.html ), which is developed for the Raspberry 2/3, to the Compute CMIO.

How can I map the gpio pins right or is the order the same on the Raspberry PI 2/3 to the Compute IO Board?

You are free to use banks 0&1, but bank 2 is reserved for the eMMC.

BCM283x has 3 banks of General Purpose Input Output (GPIO) pins (28 pins on Bank0, 18 pins on Bank1 and 8 pins on Bank2; 54 pins in total). These pins can be used as true GPIO (i.e. software can set them as inputs or outputs, read and/or set state and use them as interrupts) but also can be set to 'alternate functions' such as I2C, SPI, I2S, UART, SD card and others.

    From: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/hardware/computemodule/cm-peri-sw-guide.md .

If you have the kit, no problem to use the pins. But they are not the same as the other Pi's. Read https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/hardware/computemodule/ for full details. You may want to download https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/hardware/computemodule/RPI-CMIO-V1_2-PUBLIC.zip

So I connected the board to the compute module, but I think the overlay-file is not working because the SPI is not configured in the right way.

Is there a working overlay file for spi0?

Currently I tried to work with the spi-bcm2835-overlay but the SPI is not really working.

I don't want to muddy the waters any further(especially when IDK[I Don't Know what I am talking about But the acronyms being referred to w/o attribution/explanation makes it hard for a Novice like me to follow AAR Thx for you(guys/gals's Posts IDK there was a"BUSS called the Can-Bus I guess used in automotive system Now if I see a DB-9 Connector in a Car/Lorry(UK I will know that it is NOT a stripped-down version of the 25pin DB-25 Connector used in the old  RS-232RS-232 of yesteryear BTW in my cursory look on the Internet on the Terms used here I ran across this URL

Raspberry Pi Bootloader License Precludes it to Run on Competing Broadcom BCM283x Boards

IDK whether it is applicable OR Not. Sorry about my intrusion.
