OK so i dont know what happened to my Raspberry Pi B+ but whenever i put in my sd card with noobs the green and red lights stay on. When i searched online it said to find out if my Raspberry Pi is dead i had to plug it into my pc with a usb cable and if the pc found it the Pi was alive, but my pc didnt find the Pi so i dont know what to do so please give me some suggestions or if they dont work i will have to see if i can return it. And when i put the sd card in my other Pi it booted up properly.

Try the Raspian-jessie "image" at raspberrypi.org(?). of cousre you will need another uSDcard and have "win32imager" on your WinXX PC. Or was it "winimager32"? AAR go to bit.ly/win32sd. It is win32diskimager-0.9.5-install.

Goota go. Will check back here later. TS = 12:54PM EDT 19AUG16

    1. The PC will NOT recognize the Pi unless this has special software loaded.
    2. What are you connecting to? HDMI or other? I recommend HDMI first time.
    3. PC power is/should be 5 Volts, but the amperage is normal 500 milliamperes. You should get a power closer to 1A or more if using USB heavy.
    4. If green comes on SD card is being accessed. But not all cards work. Check RPi Easy SD Card Setup - eLinux.org for great information.
    5. May I recommend a better choice called BerryBoot at BerryBoot v2.0 - bootloader / universal operating system installer . It is great if you have an Ethernet connection to a router allowing install of any os you like on the menu.

The PC will NOT recognize the PI unless it has special software loaded AND it is a zero or model A(+) AND you use the right port. (on the zero it is one of the micro USB connectors, on the A models you need the USB-A connector with a weird A-A cable).

Very funny. An element14 home page.... The other two link to the google home page. I take it you found that "if it is not recognized... " somewhere and wanted to link there. My response to the correct link is, in advance: "very funny indeed. And wrong.".
