Is there theoretically any way to create a telephone line simulator with (any model) raspberry pi that can bridge a device that only has a dialup modem to ethernet signal?
the specific purpose I'm thinking is for my sets dreamcast. The broadband adapters are way too expensive, and I feel like there has to be a way around it with the pi and a usb dialup modem or something.
ive read about the Dreampi project, but that process involved rigging the phone wire throughout one's house with a voltage, and I'm over my head with that kind of project.
Im just looking for the simple bridge: something that allows a machine with a dialup modem to "dial out" and communicate with the internet, with the pi acting as a translator between the analog modem and Ethernet.
