Hello,
I purchased my Raspberry Pi 3 B v 1.2 from Amazon on June 30th of this year, and my Wifi and Bluetooth adapters stopped being recognized about a week ago. I've installed fresh copies of Jessie and Pixel, and it still shows the icons for Bluetooth and Wifi, but there is still no adapter. Based on what I've read, this isn't the first case of the Wifi/Bluetooth malfunctioning.
Now, I am not sure what the warranty policy is on this. I did run the command to get the "Revision" number and can confirm that there is NOT a "2" starting the string value indicating I did something to intentionally void the warranty.
My question is am I covered by a warranty, and if so by whom? I just purchased a replacement while the Bluetooth and Wifi adapter isn't working, but really want this working and would hate to toss this for my projects. To be clear, I got the RP3 for the built-in Wifi and Bluetooth adapter so that I did not have to worry about additional components sticking out of the device.
Thank you for your assistance,
John P.
