Hi everyone.

 

does anyone know how holivectic made this? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2029950924/holovect-holographic-vector-display

 

Rasberry PI or arduino ? What technologies they used?

    It explains it reasonably well on the kickstarter page. They discuss 'modified air' and it clearly looks like they pump out air in a pattern perhaps using propeller(s) and the dust in the air is sufficient (or needs 'enhancing' ; ) to scatter light when the laser is directed in the correct position. It doesn't take much dust to produce a visible reflection.

    So I think basically it consists of motors or other electromagnetically operated mirrors directing the laser beam, and some clever air directing mechanism.

    You can see the limitations of the system in the video (the images need to be tiny and projected close to the air pumping unit, otherwise they start looking heavily distorted).
