Hi,
I'm looking for recommendations please for small speakers to use with the iqaudio digiamp+ (or other if people have better recommendations). The PI/AMP/Speakers will be housed in a wooden box about the size of a shoe box.
I was wondering about these, any ideas please?

The digiamp seems an expensive solution, since an additional £20 supply is needed, so this totals £70 not including speakers, and can only be used with the Pi.

are £99 for two, perform favourably according to reviews, and could be connected up using a USB sound card or any Pi DAC with line output. They eliminate the requirement
for an amplifier and associated power supply.
There are also smaller models like AV32 that are a bit cheaper.
I've not used these particular speakers, however I do a similar thing, using Yamaha powered speakers and can therefore plug the audo input into other things too (e.g. laptop).
Alternatively if you really want an integrated solution you could bolt the Pi onto the back of any speaker in an enclosure.. a bit like this (this is a BeagleBone Black but the idea is similar).
