Greetings. My first Pi is a 3. Is it powerful enough to stream MLB or NHL (or any other sporting event, for that matter) live or archived games? Thanks, ALM.

Welcome Angus.
Take some time, look around and feel free to ask questions.
DAB
Thanks for the info, Doug. I can't wait to begin experimental stage.
Thanks DAB, I'm certainly going to love "dabbing" into my new hobby (if you pardon the pun)...
angusm. Welcome Bud. To answer your question directly, YES: The Raspberry Pi # is more than just powerful to do what you have in mind and way more.
As an ardent and avid Pi User and Developer/Trainer/Tutor I have at least 2 of each and every Pi out there and have configured them more than a dozen times with almost every version of the OS's out their.
As a word of advice: make sure that your power supply is rated minimum 2Amps or greater, User a very good quality Class 10 SD card and plan your project down to the least bit of detail for the desired outcome
you need and want.
Else. Go ahead and jump into your project....
Enjoy and have lots of fun!!!!
Regards.
Yunus
Much thanks, Yunus. I'm going to really have fun with this new hobby. I've been reading as much as I can before I try something. Your reminders are very helpful. ALM.
