Where to buy Cirrus Logic Audio Card

I have the same question - where can we buy these? (I'm in the UK).  I just spoke with Farnell in the UK, and they said they no longer stock or manufacture it.  The tech person was surprised by discovering this, but then commented that the Chinese manufacturer (owned by Farnell) is no longer manufacturing it.  Looking at the physical cardboard box in front of me, from a Cirrus Logic Audio Card which I bought a year ago, it is branded with both Cirrus Logic logo, and element14 logos, and the little information sheet inside the box says "manufactured in PRC", which is consistent with the story above.

Can someone at Farnell confirm / deny this situation ?  It would be very helpful.  In January 2016, the "order number" was 2448312.  Currently the only mention of the CLAC on Farnell's site is as part of a kit (which includes a raspberry pi, power supply etc...) - KIT-A+-AUDIO-PLAYER ELEMENT14, Raspberry Pi Model A+ Single Board Computer, 256Mb RAM, HD Audio Server Kit | Farnell ele… , but that is out of stock.

RS components have nothing about it on their website (I don't think they ever did).

Adafruit offer it, but it's out of stock: https://www.adafruit.com/products/1761  (I've never used adafruit, and this is a site in the USA, I don't know if they have a UK/European outlet).

I also just placed a call with Cirrus Logic themselves (their Edinburgh offices in Scotland), and await a call back.  I don't hold high hopes of hearing from them (it's not as if I am from Apple or Samsung, after all).

Anyone got any other information. or ideas who to contact ?

I found an alternative at JUSTBOOM - JUSTBOOM DAC HAT - DAC HAT for Raspberry Pi | CPC UK and it is in UK to boot. Let me know if you try this.

Interesting but no mic :-(

The Amp HAT uses the I2S interface for its audio input which reduces CPU load on the Raspberry Pi compared to USB solutions.

Therefore a USB microphone on the PI is the intention here.

Update: I heard back from Cirrus Logic in Edinburgh (a recorded message left for me on my phone) :  "the Cirrus Logic Audio Card was a element14 product and they HAVE chosen to not manufacture it any more.  They made that decision a few months ago".

Update 2:  I heard back from "pihut", who said: "Unfortunately, currently I am unable to provide an estimate for re-stock, as we are awaiting news from our supplier.".  No surprise, really.

So it looks like Adafruit are the only people left who might restock.  I've never used Adafruit.

Given that element-14/farnell/cpc no longer supply, should we all worry about this "community" on their website disappearing?

Do Farnell/CPC  ever reverse a decision like this?  Perhaps they are waiting for a big "show of interest" before commissioning another production run?
