It appears that the newer version of the Cirrus Logic Audio Card is out of production, perhaps for good. A company called MikroElectronika makes a board designated Audio Codec PROTO (Mikroe506) based on the WM8731. This might be a promising replacement. It appears to be 3.3 volt compatible. Are there any drivers in Raspian Jessie for the WM8731 that might be usable?
