I've been working on an autonomous rover with a raspberry pi zero. Recently I came into a problem where I fashioned a usb to micro-usb dongle for a wireless keyboard/mouse. I believe that a wire crossed in while swinging around and shorted. My problem is that the Pi shutdown and anytime I connect a power source to it there is a power surge and the CPU gets hot. Is there a known issue with a short on the USB connector that affects the powering state of the Pi. Also when I say USB connector, I mean the connector that is labelled USB not PWR IN. This is both a question and a discussion, feedback is welcomed!
