RPi 3 Model B is not booting

lavr
lavr over 9 years ago

When trying to boot a new rpi3 I observed just white blank screen and blinking LEDs (red remains on, green blinks 1 time, then 1 short blink, then both red and green single blink, then constant green LED blinking).

I am using the latest NOOBS version. SD card is new SanDisk 8GB class 10. As a display I connect 3.5inch RPi Display. Power supply is socket or laptop with the usb-cable.Was following all the instructions on the raspbery website.

What can be the case and how to make my rpi booting normally?

    @lavr

    1, Please first try and connect a standard HDMI display to the RPi..

    2. RPi3 Always loves a very good power supply Never Ever use Laptop USB.

    3. Always have an alternate Class 10 SD Card just to test and alternate image.

    Try the above and let me know.

    Yunus.

    Thank you Yunus,

    It's now fixed.

    The problem was in the 3.5Inch display, which didn't have drivers installed and therefore didn't display.

    After I tried connecting the rpi using the hdmi connection it all worked.
