I don’t understand the Raspian OS. It seems to be lacking much of the abilities that Ubuntu offers.
There are many software packages that I downloaded and installed but they will not open. There isn’t even an icon for them in the menu except for one but it will not open.
It will not read ntfs windows or ios apple files, despite having installed software packages to read those files. I didn’t even need to install anything to do that with Ubuntu.
I’m having a hard time trying to get my dvd drives to mount and hopelessly trying to get my external hard drives mounted, except for one that has an old Ubuntu OS in it.
How is it that the package log show all the software were downloaded and installed but nothing works, none of them can open? I even tried the command line, but I really don’t understand how to use that well.
Examples:
gammu
gnokii
mgba
ifuse
clamav
Etc., etc.
