Pi 3B+ touch screen issue

ksmout
ksmout over 6 years ago

I followed a guide to set up my raspberry pi 3B + with 7 inch touch screen but the display is upside down that is issue number 1.  My next problem is when it’s powered on it automatically takes me to a screen that says noobs v3.7 March 2018 at the top. It won’t let me escape. It has Rasbin (recommend) but if I click it and hit install I get a warning. It is stuck on this screen and I can’t do anything else. Help please

    You need to provide a bit more information.  Which particular make of touch screen are you using and what is the source of NOOBs on the SD card?  I'm surprised that you have such an old version of NOOBs.  You probably are having an issue with the SD card.  I would start by installing the latest version of Raspbian unless you have a particular reason to use NOOBs - https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/installation/installing-images/

    You can invert the lcd image by editing the file /boot/config.txt.  There are a number of options depending on the particular touch screen that you are using - https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/config-txt/video.md

    Just adding the following line to config.txt might work

         lcd_rotate=2

    You should also verify that you have an adequate power supply as low supply voltage can cause a number of issues.  The "official" Raspberry Pi 2.5A supply works well.  Probably should do this as a first step.
