Rpi with PiFace Digital

Team,

Please assist my older version of Rpi failed and replaced it wih Rpi 4 with PiFace Digital, the problem is we cant load the previos software that was in the failed Rpi to the new one, The PiFace is controlling light when you click a button.

Am open to all suggestion, please assist team.

Sorry, I saw only now the question. There is a couple of issues in the PiFace Digital 2. The first (sad and ashaming IMHO) is that there are lot of devices around and also on sale while the software has no longer updated by January 2018. I have no idea if there is a solution to this issue. Then there is a second issue due to the difference in the default speed of the PiFace Digital2 SPI interface, adapt to the Pi2 but no longer valid for the higher default SPI speed of the Pi3 and Pi4. To solve this issue there is a workaround I have published on one of the posts of the Pi Casso Challenge. Patching the problem is easy and I suppose it will work with the PI4 as well. It is explained in the Art-a-Tronic Episode 9 . Let me know. Enrico

There's no tellin' what's different now. Did you put the SD card from the old RPi into the new RPI? What is the nature of the failure?

Just a thought, but you did download a new Rasbian for the RPI4. The older release will not work because the processor is different than any of the previous RPIs even RPI3.
