The P5 is unpopulated on current Pis, and it seems the Wolfson Pi needs it. Is it supposed to be on top of the board? Will you supply the header? Wil people be supposed to solder it on (no problem for me, but maybe for general adoption in large numbers?). Has it been considered to change future Pi revisions accordingly? P.S. your password restrictions are stupid. Anybody considers forum accounts throwaway. I do not want to be forced to mix punctuation etc. into a throwaway passoword. i post it here as a protest image, so I don't forget it: ausserirdischegesund/TikOajOun8

My understanding is yes you will. The good news is P5 is a through-hole header, so it won't require a high level of solder skill to add it. I would say it is a safe guess that most R-Pi users have at least the skill level to do that.

I don't work for either Wolfson or the R-Pi organizations, so I can't go any deeper than that.

The Wolfson Audio Card (WAC) does indeed need access to the P5 header, and Raspberry Pi is supplied with P5 unpopulated. To deal with this, and to make fitting WAC as straightforward as possible, it is fitted with innovative sprung pins in a 4x2 formation that extend down to the P5 pad and make contact as the WAC is lowered on to Raspberry Pi.
