Since this is my first post, I would like to welcome all users.
I believe that while Wolfson Pi is an excellent opportunity to provide an audio interface for Raspberry Pi, a number of users (such as myself) already use PiTFT to display the console output in Raspbian.
The question is: can PiTFT and Wolfson Pi work together?
As I understand it, PiTFT is using only several GPIO pins, whereas Wolfson Pi relies on the 8-pin audio GPIO connector (P5) which is located just below the 2x13pin "big" GPIO. If I understand correctly, Wolfson Pi also uses the "regular" GPIO pins.
I am puzzled, however, if it would be sufficient to lead the 2x13pin tape out along with the 8 pins from P5 to connect Wolfson Pi while PiTFT is stacked on top of Raspberry Pi?
Perhaps I am wrong, unfortunately, I am a Python programmer with little knowledge of electronic circuits.
I would greatly appreciate any ideas on how to make these two components (PiTFT and Wolfson Pi) work together.
EDIT: Perhaps it would be possible to temporarily disable/switch off one of the modules (e.g. switch off the display why playing/recording audio)?
