Case Without 3D Printer?

I am going to be building a pi very soon, and i am wondering if anyone has any tips for creating a good case without a 3D printer or laser cutter.Case

There are several possibilities for cases and mounting the PI inside, the way I normally create a case is by using a wall power adapter housing and using adhesive to mount a thin block of wood or plastic to screw the PI on to then screw the case back together.
