Why the Wolfson Audio Card doesn't work after Raspbian update/upgrade?

Question

I copied the SD image given by Wolfson to run the audio card and it worked very good. Because of my project (using mysql connections) I had to update and upgrade my raspbian, and then I cannot record or play any file. I know that Wolfson and Element 14 had to hack the normal raspbian version, and I suppose that upgrading it restores the hacked files, so how can I make it work again (without rewritting the SD card)?

It's because the driver modules aren't automatically rebuilt for the new kernel. You need to step through the process again. - Tim

That sounds weird... I just installed mysql-client without any problems, using the same old kernel (3.10.25) I have always used with the Wolfson card.

I just did an "apt-get update" to refresh the list of repository mirrors, and then "apt-get install mysql-client".

In what way does "apt-get install mysql-client" not work for you? Error messages?
