Modern flat screens of digital TVs are getting shallower.
So there will be less and less room for speakers (LS) of sufficient quality.
One solution is to connect external LS to the TV.
But that requires an "AV receiver", which for example in a kitchen TV is overly expensive.
A cheaper solution might be possible with the RaspberryPi complemented by a Wolfson audio card? My question is how to achieve this? Does anyone have experience in this application?
By Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) along with HDMI ARC (Audio Return Signal) the TV remote will switch inputs, change channels, together with setting the audio volume.
