I bought two raspberrypi b+

Both units will not "see" the wifi dongle...Yet in my old old raspberrypi B - the wifi dongle is seen and I am able to logon to the wifi network.. Is there a fix ? And, did the b+ get shipped with this problem?

Which WiFi dongle? Also what power supply and anything else plugged in? We can't help if we don't know your problem so give more detail in the future please.

edimax - the small unit and the power supply is the ac adapter for uk with converter for usa power supply output is 5.25 volts with 2A

I have used the same power + edimax wifi dongle for B ( everything worked) but on both the B+ system does not see the edimax so not able to set it up...

What otherusb devices do you have plugged in? Unplug as many as possible. They may be drawing too much current and causing the dongle to reset or otherwise fail.

Thank-you for your reply. I have wifi dongle and keyboard only plugged in and both plugged into the B+ ( BTW the same dongle was working with my B...so put it back into the B and it works!)...
Im going to try a clean install of XBMC and see if it the hardware works...and to determine if it is a software issue...
