Model B+ Schematics

wallarug
wallarug over 12 years ago

Does anyone know where to find the schematics for the B+??  I am attempting to update my app to include B+ details and I require the port labels (e.g.  J1, J2, etc) for the app to function correctly.

All the labels used to be on the PCB itself but they have replaced them with descriptions / words.

Could anyone be able to help me out?

This is what I have been able to produce thus far:

Model AModel BModel B+Description
S1S1J1Micro USB Power
S5S5J3Camera
S2S2J4Display
S3S3J6HDMI
S6S6J7Audio
P1P1J8Main GPIO

I know that.  I just left it like that for simplicity.  That way I could cross check if each component that I had for RPi B was there for RPi B+.

But thank you for point it out.

I was smiling at the large "watch" (I know it's just a quick demo to show off the platform) but then I thought of half a dozen uses for such a thing. It's perfect for where using your phone is less practical - imagine such a display already mounted in a kitchen so you can see alerts when your hands are wet, or in a noisy workshop or garage where you can see messages at eye-level without having to listen for your mobile handset if this automatically pairs as you walk there. In fact if you're in the kitchen, you could select photos from a catalog of food to auto-construct an SMS shopping list to send to your partner image

I know that's possible from apps on your existing mobile but there could be interesting possibilities from a custom device.

I seem to remember some smart watch kickstarter that attracted millions in funding and didn't deliver 100% in everyone's opinion.. effectively this video shows how to build your own smart watch type device with your own custom functionality within a day. Quite amazing.
