I've been attempting to connect my RPi to the internet via a network extender (a ZyXEL Model WRE2205 Wireless N300 range extender). While I've been able to get it to work with my laptops (running under both Windows Vista & Ubuntu), I have been quite unable to get it to work with my Raspberry (Debian Wheezy).
The Pi appears to detect the device (it is logged by the Pi's WiFi Config utility on scanning, signal strength max.) but the Pi then fails to complete an internet connection.
Can anyone help?
Thank you, in anticipation;
J. Gibb
P.S.: The connection instructions included with the range extender did not work as claimed. A 'mixed' interpretation of them was, eventually, effective in completing a connection with my laptops. (As they were somewhat 'ad hoc' I would have difficulty in repeating them: if there is a correct, systematic approach I would far rather adopt that.) None of these methods, whether derived from given recipes or 'ad hoc', proved effective in allowing a connection from the RPi.
