I am trying to load the latest Download the Latest Logi-Image and I keep running into this error:

PANIC: VFS: Unable to mount root fr on unknown-block(179,2)

Entering kdb (current=0xda850000, pid 1) due to Keyboard Entry

kdb>

but I can't type anything or use the mouse.

I have been google this problem. I have tried to change the mmcblk0p2 ot mmcblk0p6, tried to reflash and re-install the SD card multiple times, etc. I can't get this to work.

What am I doing wrong??

Thanks!

Here are some suggestions that might help until ValentF(x) sees your question.

Are you trying to do this on a RasPi 1 or a RasPi 2?  I think there are compatibility issues with RasPi 2.

According to http://valentfx.com/wiki/index.php?title=Logi-Pi_Quick_Start_Guide the image is based on "Raspbian V20140117" which clearly pre-dates RasPi 2.

When I installed LOGI-Pi tools for my 'blog http://www.element14.com/community/groups/fpga-group/blog/2014/10/08/first-experiments-with-the-valentfx-logi-pi I didn't load the entire OS image.  I instead added what I needed to 2014-09-09 Raspbian Wheezy, and built logi_loader from GitHub source code: https://github.com/fpga-logi/logi-tools.git

If you follow that GitHub link, you'll see there's a new README for RasPi 2 users.  logi_loader does direct access to RasPi GPIO registers, and RasPi 2 moved them to a new base address so you need to compile it with the correct options.

If you're using a RasPi 1, the instructions in my 'blog should work.

    Hope this helps!
