Enable the IT9135 (WandTv) DVB Usb stick

Do you have Rasbian? If so, open a terminal window and try the command with the DVB plugged in:

lsusb

The output will tell me what drivers you need.

After reading, even on the second link, it says that on the new kernels, there is no need to do that procedure.

The problem is that this is a bit complicated to me to compile drivers in Ubuntu (or maybe Raspian).

I'm sure that many users do use some kind of DVB stick with any kind of Kodi with Raspberry.

Isn't a simple solution for that, with simple steps for Raspberry?

I tried to follow the tutorial of Dimitrios on

Now, after I did this step:

sudo -s

cd /

wget http://goo.gl/jFh9x -O rootfs.tar.gz

tar -xzf rootfs.tar.gz

cd /boot

wget http://goo.gl/Xj3IR -O vfat.tar.gz

tar -xzf vfat.tar.gz

reboot

My Raspberry Pi2 won't turn on.

What can I do now?

Although many "howto's" from 2012 are still valid, some of them are not. Late 2014 the raspberry pi 2 was introduced. As it has a different CPU, the firmware needed to be updated. So if you download and install firmware from 2012, it will not boot on your PI 2.

I'm not sure where the "goo.gl" links point to, but if that hasn't been upgaded since that was written, your firmware is too old.

To get it to boot again: Download NOOBS or something like that and start over.

     I am sorry for your troubles. First I realize you did not account for the new Raspberry Pi 2 and the old Raspberry Pi... Therefore the statement above is true for the OLD Pi and false for the NEW Pi. Please look at first comment in

http://www.element14.com/community/community/raspberry-pi/raspberrypi2/blog/2015/03/19/see-my-new-pi-2-next-what-should-we-do for a good download of for KODI. Since I know you have driver issues, I will try to build the driver on my Pi 2 after I free it from my current project. That may occur this weekend. I can build it, but not test it since I do not have your device. Let me know when the PI 2 is back to square one.

The hardware is fine. The software is the problem. Take a deep breathe! What I would like you do is reload the software part. If you have a new card handy, best to use that. If not, the partitions need to be wiped clean. Let me know if you want to reuse the old card and I will have instructions to clean it.

I have 2 micro sd.

One with OSMC and the other with NOOBS and OpenELEC.

I tried to boot from both but the HDMI show nothing.

I have no problem doing whatever you tell me to do.

I reinstalled NOOBS to the SD card and the unit works!!

Now, back to the old question, is it possible to use the card with any kodi variation for Raspberry?
