Hi!
I really want to make a semi portable retro gaming device, by that i mean a 5-8 inch display and maybe a joystick and some buttons (6 + function buttons?), and i would probably like to have it battery powered.
I was thinking a Raspberry Pi with emulators for computing, and i would design and 3D Print an enclosure.
I don't really know what i'm doing unfortunately and i was hoping there would be some kind people here that would point me in the right direction.
I think i will be able to model an enclosure(not well but functional) and print without issues, I think i also will be able to set up the Pi since i'm reasonably competent with computers.
What i'm struggling with is the electronics, I don't even know where to start. I have been looking at a ton of displays and stuff but i don't really know what i'm looking for.
What would be some good choices for display?
Speakers?
R. Pi?
Battery? Charging circuit?
Joystick and buttons?
Anything i'm forgetting? Hope somebody can give me some pointers!
