BitScope Mirco Update Process - Raspberry Pi

It is not clear to me whether or not the BitScope DSO is updated with the latest changes when I run the following at the Raspberry Pi command line:

sudo apt-get update

If BitScope Micro DSO updates are not included in the Pi software update process then what is the cleanest way to ensure my BitScope DSO has all the latest improvements and bug fixes?

Is Bitscope listed if you type "apt --installed list"?

the Raspberry bitscope DSO is a zip file and I do not think they have DEB files updated from a server until you unload a new zip... Just do a apt-get install for the new DEB.

gadget.iom It will be installed since they were a DEB file. But the server list does not have the packages there unless someone is doing so to be nice.

OK mates - I am not able to follow your comments; therefore, the original questions remain unanswered - at least for me.

I tried the command $ apt --installed list --- however, the command was not recognized. I then tried several variations of the suggested command with no success.

Therefore, I would appreciate it if someone could:

1. Explain how one can determine if a Raspberry Pi installed software is available on the "apt-get update" server.

2. If BitScope updates are not available from the "apt-get update" server; what is the simplest way to update the BitScope DSO without uninstalling the installed BitScope package and then installing the latest updated version from the BitScope web site. There does not appear to be an "update" option available on any of the BitScope drop down menus - so it goes.

Thank you for any clarity you may provide.
