I have a doubt about the use of a IR receiver connected to the Raspberry PI GPIO. Is it sufficient to connect the data pin to the GPIO port and power the sensor of some pull resistor is the worth to use?
I am using the TSOP312 hat is 3.3V compatible (see the attached datasheet) and accordingly with the suggested specifications of the producer, I plan to use at least an in-line resistor on the V+ and a 0,1 uF capacitor between V+ and GND for more stability.
