How to connect rasberry pi 400 (keyboard) with an element 14 7" Touchscreen display?

When i connect the pi 400 with a monitor or even tv, everything works fine.

I tried to connect the 7" Touchscreen display the same way i connect the keyboard with a normal monitor but the screen does not turn on.

I have seen other tutorial where people normally connect the screen with a normal pi 4 and then the keyboard (pi 400) but, i think there should be a better way to connect the 7" touchscreen with the pi keyboard directly.

The 7" Touchscreen display is this model: https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/raspberry-pi-touch-display/

My raspberry pi 400is this model: https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/raspberry-pi-400/

You would need an interim adapter board go go from the DSI connector on the Pi Touchscreen display to the HDMI port on the Pi 400.
The Pi 400 does not break out the DSI interface directly.
