Building on the Strengths of the Raspberry Pi

anwar

I have developed product that has built on the strengths of the RPi and provides a next gen device ideal for learning about IoT and STEM subjects. The product is in production but I need help to get alternative supply chain, can anyone at Element 14 help? The BBC Micro and the Sinclair Spectrum paved the way for a generation of IT experts, the MicroPi will do the same for IoT - you will be amazed if you take the chance to contact me and learn more.

Kind regards

Anwar

    Hi Anwar,

If it's the one that's on the SB Components website, it looks pretty reasonable for the price, if it comes fully pre-installed and ready to go (I bet that's a hurdle in itself for newcomers).
The Github link there is broken.
Personally, if it were me, I'd ditch the IR sensor (is it for use with IR remote controls? in which case it doesn't seem a very compelling use-case) and maybe replace it with a temperature sensor (it may be a similar price, so likely no increase in BoM cost), since then kids could do measurements and plot them, etc. Granted that is probably pluggable since it mentions there are Grove connectors.
