Raspberry PI OpenwWRT Router - USB Wifi Asus N-10 adapter installing issue

Hi!.

I am trying to create fully functional router based on RPI 4 together with OpenWRT OS.

In order to make it secure I have to use external wifi adapter, I can't find any information of where to find kernel and either how to install it.
I've checked pretty much every single thread here and none of them worked for me.

    Hi,

For the sake of $20 or so, it may be worth just picking a USB WiFi adapter that is well supported, i.e. one that you _can_ find decent information regarding how to use it with OpenWRT surely. Is it really worth expending days of effort just to use that ancient, decade-old WiFi adapter with the modern Pi 4? I'm not surprised if you say you cannot find precise information on this combination. Also, how will that effort help others, if it's obsolete?

Otherwise, if you go ahead with it, you will need to trailblaze, go through the hard effort, and then write up your findings to help others.
