There is a general concensus that the current x86 processors are higher performing and more powerful than anything from ARM so it wouldn't be surprising to see an ARM processor being emulated on x86. The fact that this is the other way around is surprising to say the least. I suppose that 3D games are much more reliant on GPU than CPU so maybe inefficiencies on the CPU side don't matter so much... but this would vary program to program. It's notable, perhaps, that the presentation did not include any bench marks comparing their execution times against real x86 execution time.
