Speakers Problem with Cirrus Logic

Hello,

 

I am using Cirrus Logic audio board with Raspberry Pi 2. I managed to test the Cirrus Logic with my headphone with the script:

 

./Reset_paths.sh

./Playback_to_Lineout.sh

 

The problem that I didn't manage to use the Cirrus Logic with my speakers which I have already soldered them in J3 and J6.

 

I used the scripts:

 

./Reset_paths.sh

./Playback_to_Speakers.sh

    I had a problem with the speakers, too,  so this might be your solution.  Buried in the manual is the warning:

     

    "It is necessary to supply auxiliary power to the Audio Card in order to drive external loudspeakers. An external power supply with output voltage of 5V, current delivery capability of 2,000mA, a centre positive power plug of internal diameter 2.1mm, and external diameter 5.5mm."

     

    Using the "AUX power in" jack will also power the Raspberry Pi.  Do not use one of those 12v or 9v supplies that use that same plug - it must be a good solid 5v.
