Hi. I'm asking this to check if a certain rumor is true or not. According to my company's purchasing personnel, he heard a rumor from a reseller of Pi at my country saying that they will receive their last batch of Pi 2s around September/October and there will be no more. My boss is worried about this so I would like to ask the community if this rumor is true or not. Will Pi 2 production stop after their last recorded new batch date 2016/10/24 according to their Pi 2 sales page. If the rumor is not true and they will continue to produce Raspberry Pi 2s on demand, good. If the rumor turns out to be true, we will then need to make some adjustments.
