Have you had a look at Linkwave's PiloT? You can get a pretty good HSPA+ connection and a 4G version is due very soon. Also has added GPS: The PiloT - Add a 3G mobile data connection to the Raspberry Pi
From the part number google shows me a mini PCI style device, that said it wouldnt even connect on to your PI
Try one of those cheap USB 4G modems Alibaba has loads check that some one has used it under RP or at least Linux and you should be good!
Hello John, I've tried with several usb modems but unfortunately none of the usb 4g modems are supported by any carrier in US anymore.
