The part in question is part of the external power path (+5V on USB port). The circuit appears to be a reverse power protection circuit. It you are apply to power up the RP3 through this port, then the part must still be connected as the supply current flows through this part. The part is listed on the schematic as: DMG2305UX. With a soldering iron and steady hands you should be able to replace this part.
