    Great walkthrough, Karen.

I'd love to build a stand-alone real-time Face mask detection system using the pi-top 4 kit and a pi camera. I think pi-top4 can be used for more applications

Please have a look at the similar project which I made.

Please consider our STEM group for the PiTop4 giveaway.

COVID19 has forced the local school Computer Club from a physical world to virtual one. Our space in the basement of the school has been taken over for storage to accommodate classroom changes because of health protocols. The Computer Club has established a once a week Google Hangout meeting to further the clubs interests.

With the help of donations from community businesses we have purchased Pi3B+ starter kits and distributed to club members. The students have already completed the exercise of getting an operating system installed and configuring the Pi. We are currently working with python code and how to make an LED flash.

I would like to use your PiTop4 as a stand alone computer in the lab network that can be used  to facilitate exploring networking. Our students are located in a number of geographic locations behind their own home network routers. My plan would be to deploy the PiTop4 in the lab network and have the students work through the issues that would enable them to connection to the PiTop4 in the lab network from over the Internet. A tall order but I have done it and would like to share the experience with the students.

With the addition of the Foundation kit, the students could work through a project of deploying sensors without having physical access to the box. Currently we don’t have funds to provide sensor to the students for use on the Pi. LED flashing is the extent so far.  A group sensor project seems like a alternate choice.

It could be suggested, why not use any computer in the lab for the back end connection. Yes that would work but a Pi computer is what the students are familiar with. A Pi computer supporting sensors is a logical transition.

The parents, the school and my self, a retire technology guy, are working to keep the club going during this health crisis. A donation of the PiTop4 and Foundation Kit would be a great addition to our resources. Thank you for making such a generous offer.

Pi-Top 4 kit is everything I need to teach basic electronics to a group of students during the lockdown. Students can’t go home because either their hometown is situated in a red zone area or their parents are not available to pick them up. Coming up with ideas or projects to keep them busy during weekends and after school.

Don't worry, here's a nicely animated exploded view from pi-top that shows the insides of it:

    Oh, that makes more sense.

Would recommend ESP-01 or ESP-12 for lower cost.

Well, I works as an IT admin at a University.

And still using fingerprint which is connected to a PC. But during this Pandemic. The fingerprint is a bad media for us employee, good for the virus as spread media. So we print a barcode scanner as a solution to a PC connected.

Of the PC runs 24 hours is another problem. I hope this pitop 4 will come as a solution.
