To New Roadtesters,
When you are a new roadtester, questions come up all the time. It's part of the territory. Some of these questions are administrative in nature, such as when will the product be shipped to me. For those questions, feel free to contact me directly at @rscasny. I will respond or my colleague Dan Zima who assists me in administering the RoadTest Program.
But handling technical questions is a different process.
If you have a technical questions, concern, issue or problem about a particular roadtest, I would like you to post it in the comments section of the roadtest first. Describe the problem or concern and your question. Doing it this way gives the community at large a means to help you, if they can. Sometimes community members will take the time to troubleshoot a problem with you.
Please post a technical comment before contacting the sponsor or creating a support ticket with the sponsor (via the sponsor's website.) This is important and I will tell you why.
A sponsor's support ticket system is for current customers. That is, the product was purchased with a customer ID and a purchase order (PO).
The product you received was "purchased" via an internal marketing budget, so there is no PO. Thus, the support person will not have a record of you or your purchase.
If the problem cannot be solved via the comments section, then contact me and I will use my contacts with the sponsor to get you some help.
If you have any questions, feel free to add a comment and I'll answer your question as soon as I can.
