I finally managed to scrounge enough apparatus together to run a full demonstration of the BLE LED module from TI. I have not had much time to explore the TI BLE Multitool App, but there is a first look at it here. This first demonstration provides insight into use of 3D printed light fixtures to make unique interactive coffee table centrepieces that are fun to play with. The people here who have seen me messing around with it have been quite impressed. (They are used to me doing crazy projects, so it takes something special for them to really notice what I am doing)
Here is a quick tutorial on how to create a light fixture for 3D printing from a solid object using 123D Design:
